Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Maine Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized plans of care for patients with complex medical needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive and supportive care environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) and a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine. Certification in a relevant specialty is preferred. At least one year of prior RN work experience is required, with a strong preference for experience in critical care, pediatrics, or behavioral health. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as analytical ability sufficient to identify changes in patients' conditions and initiate appropriate action.
