Clinical Nurse Specialist

This is a bargaining unit position at Maine Medical Center, a Magnet designated 700-bed tertiary care and teaching institution. As a Clinical Nurse, you will support the hospital's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family centered care, commitment to our community, and accountability.
Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of the effects of nursing care. You will work with patients and families to provide high-quality care and support, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements include a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. As an entry-level position, experience as an RN is not required, but med/surg experience is preferred.
As a new graduate RN, you will be automatically enrolled in our 12-month Nurse Residency Program in conjunction with your unit-based employment. This program provides a supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and confidence in a clinical setting.
