Neonatal Physician Assistant and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

The Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Physician Assistant and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will provide medical management of neonatal patients with a variety of diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complete histories and physicals on new admissions and daily examinations
Generate problem lists and differential diagnoses based on clinical findings
Create comprehensive treatment plans, including laboratory, diagnostic testing, and medications as indicated
Effectively utilize healthcare resources and communicate with other members of the healthcare team to provide family support and discharge planning
Requirements
Master's degree in Neonatal Nursing Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
Current licensure and certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Three or more years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Ability to travel locally between facilities
Working Conditions
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions can be expected.
