The City of Somerville is seeking an experienced CITY OF SOMERVILLE SAFETY SPECIALIST to lead the development and implementation of safety programs within the Water and Sewer Department. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, as well as providing training and guidance to department staff.
Main Duties:- Conduct regular inspections of work sites and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, as well as conduct investigations to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to department staff on various safety topics, including hazard recognition, personal protective equipment, and emergency response.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices related to occupational health and safety.

- A competitive salary range of $70,358.09 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
