Job Summary

Under general supervision, this role will perform a variety of office services functions, including mail processing and distribution, copy and scanning, hospitality, reception, and records management. Tasks may include receiving, sorting, and delivering incoming mail and packages, as well as preparing outgoing mail and packages for dispatch. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of shipping procedures and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and deliver incoming mail and packages according to assigned floors and time frames.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages for dispatch, including wrapping, sealing, weighing, and affixing postage.
  • Package and process outgoing overnight items, such as Federal Express and UPS, to meet client and vendor deadlines.
  • Log and deliver incoming overnight packages within established time frames.
  • Organize and distribute supplies to clients, verify and log orders upon delivery, and monitor inventory of copy supplies.
  • Handle items for distribution to client employees, affiliates, dealers, and others.
  • Estimate runtime on photocopy jobs, check copies for quality and accuracy, and produce bound copies as requested.
  • Provide minor maintenance of photocopy machines, including solving paper jams and routine cleanings.
  • Operate facsimile machines, send and receive faxes, and keep complete and accurate logs of incoming and outgoing faxes.
  • Perform other administrative duties, including inserting, copying, and photocopying, as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience working in a mailroom or professional office environment.
  • Able to assist other lower-level FSRs as necessary.
  • Thorough knowledge of all shipping procedures.
  • Ability to perform all necessary computer skills required.
  • Able to perform the functions of all equipment and systems, including fax, scanner, metering, stamping, tracking systems, photo-copying, and color copying.
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude, and appearance are a must.
  • Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
