Key Responsibilities:
Safety Oversight
• Prioritize safe working practices at all times.
• Adhere to all applicable federal and state safety regulations, along with internal safety protocols.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions; assist in remediation efforts; utilize equipment and materials correctly.
• Accompany regulatory inspectors during safety assessments.
• Maintain required certifications and serve as the primary on-site instructor for safety training.
• Ensure all new employees undergo mandatory safety training before commencing work.
• Organize and oversee annual refresher training sessions.
• Lead behavior-based safety initiatives and manage employee safety observation programs.
• Conduct thorough safety inspections at operational sites.
• Develop and implement safety policies that align with corporate objectives.
• Maintain compliance documentation as mandated by regulations and company policies.
• Perform inspections to identify and mitigate hazards affecting operational safety.
• Conduct environmental sampling to monitor compliance with safety standards.
• Design and implement comprehensive safety training programs for personnel.
• Provide training on safe work practices and emergency response procedures.
• Investigate incidents and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.

Environmental Oversight
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and organizational procedures.
• Manage air quality systems to meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership on environmental permit applications.
• Maintain logs of unplanned emissions and report as required.
• Accompany environmental inspectors during assessments.
• Maintain certification for emissions compliance.
• Organize documentation to demonstrate compliance with environmental standards.
• Manage hazardous waste protocols, including storage and disposal.
• Train personnel on hazardous waste management.
• Monitor compliance with waste management regulations.
• Ensure adherence to spill prevention training.
• Conduct groundwater monitoring to support environmental assessments.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Environmental Health or Safety is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in safety management or regulatory compliance.
• Certifications in emissions compliance, first aid, and hazardous waste management are required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP software.
