Job Title: Clinical Supervisor, Cardiology

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the manager, the Clinical Supervisor, Cardiology will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a 32-bed cardiology unit. This role will perform direct patient care as needed and function as a clinical resource to nursing and support staff. The Clinical Supervisor will assess, plan, evaluate, and document the nursing process of assigned units as needed. Additionally, they will support the operational functions of the department related to reporting, payroll, service recovery, staff communication, staff data collection and reporting, staff competencies, and regulatory readiness compliance. The Clinical Supervisor will work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team to lead staff in clinical and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor care and data to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
  • Manage individual(s) including but not limited to hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensure that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue, and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree
  • RN License/Certification
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-5 Years' Experience
  • < 2 Years' Supervisor Experience
