About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Support Director for Undocumented Students to join our team at the University of California, Riverside. This position plays a crucial role in planning, developing, and implementing programs designed to support the academic wellness and campus integration of undocumented students.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement co-curricular services and programs to advance knowledge and awareness about the diverse undocumented community at UCR.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on AB 130, 131, 540, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and federal immigration law and policy.
  • Supervise the program coordinator and ensure quality programming and collaborative partnerships across campus and the surrounding community.
  • Advocate for the well-being of students, with a specific focus on undocumented students, and provide regular advice to campus management and student groups on various issues affecting this population.
Requirements

  • A deep understanding of the complexities surrounding undocumented students and their needs.
  • Excellent leadership and supervision skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective programs and services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
