Position Overview:


The IT Support Specialist I is a proactive individual responsible for executing various Information Technology (IT) tasks to assist the organization. The primary objective is to provide support to end users with their computing requirements in a professional and courteous manner.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures confidentiality of all handled information; all actions must be conducted with honesty and legality. In certain instances, compliance with HIPAA regulations may be necessary. A high level of professionalism and integrity is expected consistently. Tasks must be performed with precision while adhering to deadlines.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for issues and requests related to computers and systems.
  • Identifies, resolves, and documents any technical support challenges or requirements within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Assists in the rollout of end-user devices, including computers, tablets, phones, and peripherals.
  • Monitors and maintains systems pertinent to the aforementioned duties.
  • Supports the IT Director with various initiatives as required.

Educational Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree in a field related to Information Technology (IT).

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and manuals relevant to responsibilities, to compose routine reports and correspondence, and to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.

Challenges:
Varied work assignments and schedules. Moderate judgment and discretion are required regarding what, how, and when tasks are executed.

Accountability:
Work involves a moderate but consistent opportunity for error, limited only by daily, periodic, or subsequent evaluations.

Internal Communication:
Normal courtesy is expected while occasionally providing or receiving information as a service to other departments or groups.

External Communication:
Occasional important contacts may involve resolving issues with tact and flexibility of perspective.

Physical Demands:
The role requires some physical effort, including moderate periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Regular lifting of moderately heavy items up to 50 lbs. may be necessary.

Work Environment:
The position involves everyday risks or discomfort that necessitate standard safety precautions, such as preventing falls. The workspace is adequately illuminated, heated, and ventilated.
