Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team at ResourceMFG. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for abrasive blasting and assembling parts/materials used in the fabrication of pump stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain abrasive blasting equipment, including compressors, filters, high-pressure hoses, nozzles, and pressure gauges.
  • Load and unload parts/materials using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the sandblasting equipment is in good working condition.
  • Inspect work sites to ensure safety prior to and after blasting operations.
  • Prepare surfaces of parts/materials for abrasive blasting/welding.
  • Clean tools and equipment to prevent clogging or other equipment problems.
  • Clean work areas before and after blasting projects to remove debris and dust.
  • Maintain quality by inspecting finished surfaces for quality and defects.
  • Maintain necessary supplies to support blasting activities.
  • Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously and in a timely manner.
  • Work and communicate with other Production personnel on a daily basis to schedule work and resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Willingness to perform hands-on abrasive blasting activities in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE, including Type CE respiratory protection.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and measurement equipment, including calipers, tape measures, levels, compound squares, digital multimeters, and torque wrenches.
  • Fabrication/Engineering Drawing reading and interpretation.
