As a result of sales growth and expansion our client, a growing privately held company doing steady yearly growth, has hired us to find an exceptional Engineering/Maintenance Manager. Our client is a highly regarded industry leader in the cosmetic manufacturing industry. This company is ranked in the Top 100 Best and their products can be found in Ultra, Sephora and many other fine stores. This position will be based in Sylmar, Ca area. Our client is committed to hiring the best talent so the total compensation package being offered will reflect that, but they are targeting plus or minus $150k base plus competitive benefit package. This position has high a level of responsibility of interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering projects. The Plant Engineer plans, develops, coordinates, directly in both small and large-size projects in scope and level of importance. This individual engages in all aspects of the complex project, providing leadership and decision-making when required and has an advanced knowledge of the technical expertise required to design and implement the particulars of the mechanical, electrical, chemical, and plumbing projects. What the candidate Do
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and production workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs, entering data.
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Experience and Education You Bring
Bachelor s degree in engineering.
Minimum 5 years
experience in the Mechanical Engineering Design discipline.
Experience in cosmetics, pharma, food and/or lab and life science projects.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit documentation and management as it applies to Mechanical Engineering.
Expertise in 3D printing parts. Innovating parts and constructing equipment from the ground up.
Impeccable attention to detail
Ability to drive growth in an entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to work well with a team.
Ability to thrive in a high-stress and fast paced environment.
Ability to effectively and fluently in English.
Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
