We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at ResourceMFG. As a key member of our Orthotics and Prosthetics department, you will be responsible for fabricating orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (orthopedic braces) according to specifications.
- Utilize laboratory tools safely and effectively, demonstrating mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination.
- Develop and maintain effective organizational, time management, and planning skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, utilizing strong interpersonal and verbal skills.
- Work collaboratively as a team member, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Perform tasks as indicated on the Skills Matrix, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
- High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
- Preferred: 1 year of related experience working within environments that include machinery, carpentry, design, fabrication, sewing, etc.
- OR: Without diploma/GED, 2 years' experience working within O&P environments or related trade industries that include but are not limited to: machinery, carpentry, design, fabrication, sewing, etc.
Black scrubs: pants & shirt with slip-resistant shoes; scrubs must be purchased within the first 2 weeks of assignment.
