Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Hunter Truck is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks.

Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic Technician will diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other truck systems. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other truck systems
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid drivers license and driving record that meets company insurability standards
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vocational technical school training or equivalent experience
  • Automotive experience
  • Medium and/or Heavy Duty truck experience
