We are currently seeking a skilled Project Architect with at least 8 years of experience in the commercial architecture sector. This role presents an opportunity for professional growth within our firm, allowing you to excel in a dynamic, collaborative environment while developing a comprehensive skill set. Experience in educational facilities is advantageous. As a Project Architect at Huckabee, you will collaborate closely with a Principal and oversee project completion while managing a diverse team across various project scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients and team members to grasp the unique aspects of each project and establish the programmatic direction.
  • Lead a team of Architects, Project Associates, Interior Designers, and Planners to formulate design solutions in partnership with Design Directors.
  • Provide mentorship to a team of technical and design-focused professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with feasibility, constructability, and life safety/code standards.
  • Contribute to project development during design phases.
  • Assist in creating and modifying specifications under the guidance of a specification writer.
  • Maintain project timelines and communicate any concerns with the project team.
  • Prepare presentation materials for schematic and design development phases.
  • Develop construction documentation and specifications.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM projects throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with consultants using BIM, 2D documentation, and specifications.
  • Prepare pricing requests and review shop drawings during the construction phase.
  • Conduct site visits as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, and Office 365.
  • Experience with Navisworks and AutoDesk FormIt is preferred.
  • Must be a licensed architect with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture.
