Job Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Escorting patients to and from exam rooms, preparing them for their examination
  • Entering complete medical histories and current medications into patient charts
  • Assisting physicians/providers in the exam room by scribing notes in patient medical records
  • Preparing and collecting path/lab specimens, notifying patients of results, and scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Maintaining daily cleaning and organizing of exam rooms, as well as stocking rooms
  • Laboratory maintenance, including cleaning and autoclaving instruments
  • Other duties as assigned to the back office

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant
  • Dermatology experience is preferred
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Strong phone etiquette
  • Teamwork
  • Professional appearance and mannerisms
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working on electronic medical records
  • Bilingual is a plus
Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines, including computers and calculators, as well as mobility to complete errands or deliveries. The role may involve handling sharps and chemicals, and may be subject to stress triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
