Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Developmental Specialist to join our team at LifeROOTS, Inc. As a key member of our Early Intervention Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting families and children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide family-centered services to support the development of children with special needs, including consultation, education, and coordination of services.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify the needs of children and families, and develop strategies to support their growth and development.
  • Provide training and education to families on topics such as child development, parenting, and community resources.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless coordination of services and effective communication with families.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Early Intervention and the New Mexico Family Infant Toddler Program.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual respect.
