Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to join our legal team at GPAC. As a Probate Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys with all aspects of probate law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Attorneys with Probate Documents: Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and other necessary forms.
  • Conduct Legal Research: Research probate laws, court rules, and case precedents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Gather and Organize Client Information: Collect and organize client data, including assets, debts, and beneficiaries, to support estate planning and probate processes.
  • Communicate with Clients and Stakeholders: Provide updates and requirements to clients, court personnel, and other attorneys, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate Meetings and Hearings: Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances for attorneys and clients, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of probate matters.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain up-to-date and accurate case files and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Offer administrative support to attorneys, including drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
  • Assist with Estate Planning: Support the preparation of estate plans, wills, trusts, and other related legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in estate planning and trusts.
  • ABA paralegal certificate and/or degree in paralegal studies strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of probate laws, procedures, and court rules.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
