About the Job:

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Technologist to join our team in Hometown, Illinois. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans and reformations according to established clinical protocols, guidelines, and department operating procedures
  • Position patients correctly, using proper immobilization techniques, and perform optimal scans using correct technical factors and protocols
  • Use reconstruction software to enhance exams for radiologist interpretation
  • Operate support equipment for CT such as independent workstations, pressure injectors, PACS, and RADNET
  • Initiate IVs for contrast media administration and prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and encouraging questions
  • Transport patients to and from departments when necessary and assist in transferring patients on and off the CT table
  • Continually monitor patient condition during CT procedures

Requirements:

  • 3-year general radiology ARRT registry
  • IEMA license
  • CPR certification within 3 months of hire
  • Basic knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and basic CT procedures
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Computer competency

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work overtime when needed, respond to work at short notice, and be flexible with starting times to meet departmental demands. They must also be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary.

Estimated Salary: $63,000 - $83,000 per year
