Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
Job DescriptionThis role involves performing structural design of various building projects, including development of design documents, calculations, specifications, and construction administration. You will be responsible for designing structural systems of cast-in-place and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing for healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use, and institutional buildings.
- Design structural systems for a variety of building types, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Develop detailed design documents, including calculations, specifications, and construction administration plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects that meet client expectations.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
- At least five years of structural design experience, including various building systems and materials.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification with a desire to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software, including RISA 3D and RAM Structural System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
