Job Overview:

Dashiell is a leading provider of technical services to the electric utility, power generation, industrial, renewable and energy industries. With 50 years of experience handling large scale complex projects, we have established ourselves as a unique turnkey Engineering, Construction, and Testing company specializing in medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

As a Graduate Structural Engineer at Dashiell, you will work closely with a project team to create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings. Your duties may include performing engineering support tasks such as wind load calculations and structural analysis. You will learn and apply engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC, and ACI. Additionally, you will be responsible for learning and properly using the document management system and applying corporate standard engineering practices.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. A structural background is preferred, and Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of hire is required. Prior internship and/or related work experience in structural design is also preferred. Essential skills include knowledge of steel and concrete design, basic knowledge of structural analysis, common word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software, working in a team environment, and communicating effectively with co-workers, vendors, clients, etc.
