We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Support Analyst – IT Services for a significant contract opportunity. This role offers long-term potential and is essential for maintaining efficient lab operations.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering effective communication with Lab System Owners, IT Teams, and Management. You will play a critical role in updating and managing the Regulatory Asset Management systems inventory, which includes lab equipment, PCs, software, and other vital information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture working relationships with stakeholders.
- Regularly update the inventory of lab assets and systems.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding project assignments.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in technical matters.
- Manage user account setups and password resets in controlled environments.
- Handle non-change control break fixes and execute change controls.
- Perform like-for-like replacements, including hard-drive cloning.
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
- Support investigations and software upgrades, including onboarding new equipment.
- Occasionally provide backup support for on-call rotations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interpret client needs.
- Strong professionalism, listening, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective time management skills with minimal supervision.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks within deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in system support.
- Familiarity with scientific instrumentation in controlled environments is preferred.
- Experience in laboratory settings is advantageous.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and walk extensively within facilities.
- Willingness to travel between various sites as required.
- Capability to operate in clean room environments with necessary training.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, squatting, and stretching.
- Proficient in operating computers and office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities necessary for detailed observation and focus adjustments.
