Job Summary

The Adjunct Instructor - EMT is responsible for educating and training students in the Emergency Medical Technician courses. This role involves delivering lectures, labs, and clinical training, as well as assessing student performance and providing coaching. The Adjunct Instructor will work closely with the lead instructor to ensure the delivery of high-quality course material and will be required to have a minimum level of competency in program policies, LMS operation, and other relevant areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead instructor in the delivery of course material, including lectures, labs, and clinical training.
  • Assess student performance and provide coaching to ensure students meet the required standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of EMS program policies, LMS operation, and other relevant areas.
  • Ensure all class and lab space is properly maintained and equipped.
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuing education training as required.
  • Have intermediate experience using Windows and the MS Office Suite.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree from an institution recognized by the United States Department of Education.
  • A Florida Level A EMS Instructor Certificate.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with an ALS service.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor credentials, as well as NAEMT instructor certification in PHTLS and AMLS within six months of hire.
