Job Summary

The Senior Treasury Analyst is a key member of the Division of Treasury and Cash Management, responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing complex duties to ensure comprehensive oversight of major University cash accounts and investment accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled analysis and benchmarking for critical projects across Treasury and Cash Management.
  • Support the work of the Executive Assistant with annual budget planning and salary setting.
  • Participate in the daily process of managing the university's cash position, reviewing and approving electronic payment transactions, and coordinating efforts with Corporate Tax and Accounts Payable.
  • Strategize and partner with DUHS Cash Management and the Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) to ensure the DUHS bank account structure and functionality is appropriate, cost-effective, and serves the multiple needs of DUHS.
  • Maintain data on all domestic bank accounts, update forms for signatory changes, and oversee legal entity updates as needed.
  • Examine, validate, and record all activity pertaining to the Employees' Retirement Plan (ERP) investment account, calculating benefit deposits, transferring funds between investment accounts, and ensuring ERISA compliance.
  • Serve as the technology lead on available systems and programs to enhance daily liquidity reporting and daily cash position calculations, researching and analyzing emerging banking and treasury technologies.
  • Responsible for all accounting transactions related to a Duke University internal loan program, preparing calendar year-end tax reports, and coordinating with Office of Counsel, Corporate Tax Office, and multiple schools and departments.
  • Execute and deliver various monthly and quarterly reports and reconciliations, including the reconciliation of the primary depository bank account.
  • Prepare complex analytical reports for external auditors at year-end.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA or CTP designation is desirable.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in financial management, cost accounting, or a field directly related to the specialized area of assignment.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to assimilate and conceptualize information, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
