Job Description:
Capgemini Engineering is seeking a skilled Human Factors Engineer to join our team. As a Human Factors Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our emerging cardiac ablation technologies. Your expertise will be essential in advancing the treatment of heart and vascular disease through breakthrough medical technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide human factors support to R&D teams to ensure the design of next-generation cardiac ablation products meets user needs.
- Conduct ethnographic user research to identify user needs and translate them into requirements and product design concepts.
- Develop prototypes to explore and validate product design concepts, ensuring they meet human performance and limitations.
- Perform workflow, task, and use error analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct formative usability testing to validate product design concepts and summative validation testing to ensure products meet user needs.
- Support program teams to ensure sound human factors principles are considered and implemented throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- M.S. degree in Human Factors Engineering or a related discipline (e.g., Product Design, Usability Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, etc.).
- 3+ years of relevant human factors/usability engineering or design experience.
- Ability to apply knowledge of human factors principles and techniques to the design, development, and evaluation of hardware and/or software products.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership.
- Familiarity or experience with software and/or hardware user-interface design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent collaboration and organization skills.
