Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at MyMichigan Health. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen physician orders to ensure the correct medications are given to individual patients.
  • Research and answer drug information questions and provide various clinical pharmacy services.
  • Supervise the preparation of prescriptions for dispensing.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients to provide excellent patient care.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the 340(b) inventory by monitoring dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Participate in the training of new pharmacists and pharmacy interns and residents.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacist licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • Completion of a 6 year Pharm. D. degree or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of experience working in a hospital or retail setting.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computer needed to enter prescription information.
  • Organizational skills needed to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide excellent patient care.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. The successful candidate will be able to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and to push or pull arm or leg controls.
