Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers and patients to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy environment.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
Requirements
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer good math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications)
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online)
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control
