POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marine Service Technician is responsible for executing all service and warranty repairs on watercraft, engines, trailers, or ATVs efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs.
  • Install various accessory components as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers to enhance satisfaction.
  • Conduct water tests with customers to confirm repairs and demonstrate product operation.
  • Perform rigging tasks as necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and professional workspace.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced technical certifications are preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members.
  • Capacity to build and maintain positive working relationships with management, colleagues, and clients.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Capability to lift heavy objects, exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Must provide personal tools.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:

  • Performs tasks under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovative thinking. Makes informed choices from limited options to resolve issues. Occasionally exercises independent judgment to complete assignments and often suggests improvements to work methods and practices.
