Role Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Cost Analysis Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing precise and competitive cost assessments for commercial fencing initiatives. This position is essential for ensuring that projects meet financial viability and align with the company's profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Examine project specifications, blueprints, and related documentation to create comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and additional expenses.
  • Financial Oversight: Formulate and oversee project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are managed effectively and meet financial benchmarks.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Partner with suppliers and subcontractors to secure accurate pricing and optimal value for materials and services.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present competitive bids and proposals for prospective projects, including detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Project Evaluation: Assess completed projects to compare estimated costs with actual expenditures, identifying areas for enhancement and cost-saving strategies.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of estimates, bids, and project costs. Generate reports to aid in decision-making and financial planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that estimates align with project specifications and timelines.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new technologies within the fencing and construction sectors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in cost estimation or a related field, ideally within commercial fencing or construction.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, keen attention to detail, and proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify potential cost challenges and devise strategies to address them.
  • Organizational Skills: Capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
