Position Summary
The Overnight Financial Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and reconciling all financial transactions within the hotel during the night shift. This position involves preparing and analyzing management reports promptly, ensuring the precision of guest invoices and city ledger transactions. The individual will also be tasked with addressing concerns across various management levels and fulfilling guest service responsibilities, which include check-in, check-out, switchboard operations, and handling reservations.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with financial data and perform essential arithmetic calculations.
- Gain experience in various accounting or hospitality-related functions.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
- Provide guest services, including check-in/check-out, reservation management, and wake-up calls.
- Conduct audits and reconcile financial and statistical documentation.
- Generate and distribute daily reports as per hotel standards.
- Compile and disseminate month-end financial summaries.
- Review and reconcile all Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier activities.
- Ensure the accuracy of all reported figures, including statistical data.
- Input and update financial records within the corporate communication system.
- Perform routine data processing tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial occurrences or deviations from established policies.
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Address governmental inquiries as necessary.
- Attend to guest requests promptly.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or a minimum of one year of relevant experience in hospitality or a related field.
- Experience in guest services is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Flexibility in working long hours may be necessary.
- This role involves sedentary work.
- Must be available for late-night or overnight shifts.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interactions with guests and staff.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental responsibilities.
- Approach all interactions with a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented attitude.
- Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Adhere to hotel policies and regulations.
- Maximize productivity and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Ability to comprehend and apply complex information from various sources.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Demonstrate initiative and anticipate the needs of guests and operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
