Clinical Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at Stanford Sierra Youth & Families. As a Clinical Specialist, you will provide comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective, quality mental health services to eligible at-risk youth and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions to assigned youth and families in the home, office, school, or other community-based settings.
- Coordinate and facilitate initial intake meetings with consumers, meeting agency and County timelines and expectations.
- Develop and implement Assessment Client Plans and Re-Assessment and Re-Authorization Client Plans.
- Provide and document all Medi-Cal eligible billable and non-billable services, including assessment, plan development, group sessions, collateral, rehabilitation, In Home Based Services (IHBS) case management, Intensive Care Coordination (ICC), and crisis intervention within required timelines.
- Ensure every family has an individualized safety plan that maximizes the use of natural supports and community-based resources.
- Coordinate care with any external providers, such as psychiatry services.
- Attend all staff meetings, clinical supervision, and consultation meetings as scheduled.
- Participate in the agency on-call rotation.
- Participate in utilization, accreditation, peer review process as assigned.
- Responsible for meeting all outcomes as documented in Employee Development Plan.
- Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes towards the agency's Mission, Vision, and Values and program outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with all internal programs, departments, and staff to provide support as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with consumers and customers.
- Coordinates with other services provided under the Medi-Cal model, acting in collaboration with other partners and ensuring documentation reflects standards that meet or surpass the agency, County Children's Mental Health, and Short-Doyle Medi-Cal standards.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Registered as an Associate Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
- At least 1 year of experience providing services to youth and their families.
