Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Wide Web Flexo Press Operator with a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in flexographic printing.

Training Schedule:
Training will take place Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 4 PM. After the training period, the work schedule will transition to either the second or third shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the press team to ensure setups and operations meet both customer and company quality standards.
  • Manage job changes, including cleaning the press, changing cylinders, setting up ink pumps, and executing job runs.
  • Monitor production speeds to align with company standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the production process.
  • Prepare and adjust inks as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Guide and train assistant operators in all operational procedures.
  • Complete necessary production and waste documentation.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the press.
Hazardous Waste Management:
Responsibilities include operating a 90-day accumulation area, ensuring proper labeling and monitoring of hazardous waste, and adhering to all safety and disposal protocols.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience operating wide-web flexographic presses.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Skills Required:
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information in small group settings.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations involving rates and ratios.
  • Proficient with computers and standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Must have good vision capabilities, including color vision.
Work Environment:
The role is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noise levels and potentially hazardous materials. Hearing protection is mandatory.
