Homes for Good is seeking a dedicated HR & Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the agency's payroll and human resources functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll records.

We are a non-profit housing agency serving low-income community members in Lane County, Oregon. Our mission is to provide affordable housing and rental assistance to over 5,000 families through voucher-based subsidies and Agency-owned public, multi-family, and affordable housing communities.

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing specialized duties in support of payroll and assigned human resources functions. The successful candidate will have experience processing payroll and administering employee group benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for the entire agency
  • Enter and maintain payroll data necessary to process payroll in compliance with Federal and State reporting requirements
  • Document and report payroll figures and records for accuracy
  • Provide information on and interpretation and application of Human Resources rules, the collective bargaining agreement, federal and state labor regulations, and other information to employees, departments, and other parties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and proficiency in:

  • Principles and practices of financial record-keeping
  • Specialized knowledge of payroll processing systems, procedures, and controls applicable to payroll systems
  • Personnel and benefit rules, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in understanding cultural differences
  • Federal, state, local, and agency laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to assigned areas of responsibility, including those governing payroll and human resources
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $26.73 - $35.82 per hour ($55,598.40 - $74,505.60 annually) with a generous benefits package, including paid health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family after one month of employment, along with life insurance and a 12% contribution of your monthly salary into a retirement account after six months of employment.
