Operations Technical Documentation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Operations Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Lifelancer. This is a 6+ month contract role based in Eugene, OR.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work closely with our manufacturing department to create accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for scientific/technical manufacturing operations. This includes writing work instructions, reviewing and interpreting historical production records, and managing document creation and revision in an electronic document control system.
Key Responsibilities- Create high-quality technical documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions and batch records.
- Review and interpret historical production records to collect data and information about existing processes.
- Work directly with manufacturing department staff to determine required document format and methods, procedures, and best practices to include in the instructions.
- Manage document creation and revision in an electronic document control system (OCPLM).
- Utilize internal software systems (E1 ERP, Oracle, SKU Wizard, Document Repositories, Product Lifecycle Management) to manage creation and revision of raw material, sub-assembly and finished good SKUs.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field). 2 years laboratory or manufacturing experience in a scientific/technical field.
- Solid technical writing skills with ability to document synthetic, conjugation, or formulation procedures accurately and succinctly.
- Ability to write in English with proper word usage, grammar, and spelling.
- Experience using Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality business systems (ERP, PLM, LIMS, or MES) and knowledge of data and processes required to operate these systems.
- Effective communication skills in a diverse work environment.
- Eager learner with willingness to follow work standards and contribute ideas for improvement.
- An estimated annual salary of $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience and location.
