Position Summary:

The Support Specialist II plays a crucial role in the front reception office, managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing inquiries from students, staff, and administration. This position also involves verifying patient insurance and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for patient intake, assessing eligibility for care and directing calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Facilitate patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and follow-up visits while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Assist patients in completing medical record forms and managing record release documents.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems efficiently to input patient information accurately.
  • Provide guidance to students and departments regarding administrative inquiries.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of one year of experience in clerical or administrative support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment.
  • Experience in a professional office environment with diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience in clerical or administrative support roles.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, tact, and discretion in all interactions.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records and standard office technology.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
Working Environment:
