We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Geospatial Survey Discipline team at Woolpert, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a group of mobile/terrestrial lidar technicians and supporting geospatial scanning and mapping projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Manage technical aspects of specified deliverables, lead a team of technical staff in creating deliverables, and ensure that QA/QC procedures are employed consistent with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review scope and schedule of proposals to develop budgets for completing technical aspects of a project.
- Manage extraction tasks, project schedule, budget, and quality, and escalate unresolved issues to the team leader.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and workflows.
- Work in concert with mobile lidar team to develop and implement project QA/QC standards.
- Execute R&D efforts and develop new workflows.
- Communicate project status updates as needed.
- Assist in firm marketing initiatives.
- Create formal presentations and/or publish articles for professional/trade/civic organizations.
- Develop/mentor junior staff members through scheduled training sessions and regular staff engagement.
- Feature extraction production support as projects dictate.
- High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of professional geospatial related experience.
- Practical knowledge of survey and lidar principles as well as DOT specifications.
- Working knowledge of software associated with lidar and survey data processing.
- Experience with the following software packages: TopoDOT, Microstation Connect, OpenRoads Designer, Leica Pegasus Manager/Leica MMS Software (Cyclone), Terra Solid, BIM – Revit, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
- Proven ability to effectively present information before groups of clients or employees.
- Experience with reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work independently and with a team to bring projects to completion.
- Display a focus on innovation and process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and data management skills.
