Join Taghleef Industries, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging films, as we seek a seasoned Product Development Director to lead our product line strategy.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Product Development Director to develop and execute both short- and long-term strategies for our product line. This includes defining product positioning, managing advertising outlets, developing market and competitive intelligence, and establishing pricing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision: Champion the company's strategic vision and ensure alignment with our global product development programs.
- Product Roadmap: Develop and execute a 1-3-year product roadmap for our product line, incorporating input from Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Manufacturing teams.
- Market Strategies: Develop and manage actionable product plans, market strategies, and tools to achieve aggressive profitability requirements.
- Tech Transfer: Coordinate technology transfer between global markets and/or regions, ensuring seamless execution.
- Manufacturing Efficiency: Manage the product line to enhance manufacturing efficiencies, drive overall product line profitability.
- Communication Strategy: Determine clear product positioning and communication strategy to effectively engage customers.
- Advertising Management: Manage advertising outlets, including tradeshows, salesforce training, and presentations.
- Market Intelligence: Develop market and competitive intelligence, identifying key trends and competitor strategies.
- Pricing Strategy: Establish and manage pricing strategy to meet financial targets, balancing revenue goals with market conditions.
- Investment Needs: Define investment needs to support strategy, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, or related field; Master's in Business Administration highly desirable.
- Experience: Demonstrated global management skills required, with appropriate industry experience in packaging films, polymers, resins, paper, or furniture.
- Skill Set: Solid technical background, strong communications skills, and business acumen; strong problem-solving and negotiation experience.
- Leadership Experience: Experience managing complex new business developments, especially in Europe and Asia, is essential.
- Additional Requirements: Financial or sales experience preferred, along with experience leading market research, market strategy, and new product development.
