Loan Officer Assistant Job Description

At SummitHR, we are seeking a highly skilled Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our loan officers in their daily activities, ensuring the smooth operation of our lending process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Assist loan officers in gathering and analyzing income information, as well as meeting with borrowers when necessary.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with FNMA, FHA, VA, RD, and SAFE ACT guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the loan origination team to ensure efficient processing and underwriting of loans.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the lending field, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Active Loan Mortgage Originator License through NMLS required in all states in which loans are originated.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience with Encompass/Optimal Blue/DU/LP and major origination systems preferred.
