We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, patient counseling, and clinical interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy programs to improve patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our pharmacy department.
- Pharmacist licensure in the state of Texas.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency training program or three years of pharmacist experience applicable to the specific work setting.
- One year of experience precepting pharmacist students and/or pharmacy residents.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification.
- Intravenous (IV) certification.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and pharmacy technology.
