Job Description:

Job Summary:

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, robots, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, encompassing three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Carry out equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and assigned projects efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain all equipment in a Just-In-Time (JIT) production environment and other necessary areas.
  • Execute all tasks, work orders, and preventive maintenance as directed by the supervisor in a safe and timely manner.
  • Implement approved modifications to machinery and equipment to fulfill production requirements.
  • Perform repairs, rebuild, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure production efficiency.
  • Document all line calls, work orders, preventive maintenance, and work history electronically in the eMaintenance System.
  • Complete all required training mandated by the client.
  • Be available for overtime as necessary (daily, weekly, shutdowns, etc.).
  • Be prepared to work any shift on short notice.
  • Continuously enhance and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Possess the authority and responsibility to halt production should a safety or quality issue arise.
  • Maintain the necessary licenses to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and articulating lift.
  • Exhibit excellent attendance and a consistent work history.

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Capability to safely access vertical areas via stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to safely climb and work on ladders.
  • Proficient in safely using power tools.
  • Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours to assist production.
  • Capability to bend, push, and pull as required.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification is preferred.

Required Years of Experience:

  • Journeyman's Card or 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the industrial automotive sector is preferred.
