We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Nursing to join our team at Skies Healthcare and Rehab Center. As a Director of Nursing in Training, you will receive an intensive orientation and training experience to develop your leadership skills and knowledge of nursing services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a knowledge base of healthcare policies and protocols that impact patient outcomes.
- Evaluate patient care outcomes by working with the interdisciplinary team.
- Engage in the budgetary process, payroll analysis, reimbursement issues, and staffing ratios to become educated on the budgetary process.
- Obtain a knowledge base of state and federal regulatory processes, quality indicators, quality measures, certification agencies, and payer sources.
- Develop a knowledge of the relationship between the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Medicare, Medicaid, Prospective Payment System (PPS), and Resource Utilization Groups (RUGS).
- Learn the characteristics of each payer source and the implications on the care delivery process.
- Establish and facilitate employee relations by working through employee challenges and participating in nursing center retention teams and related programs.
- Educate various levels of staff to provide care and services that meet or exceed patient expectations.
