Meritas Health is seeking a skilled LPN (PRN) to join our Gashland team in a primary care setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide patient care under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or other non-physician provider.
Responsibilities:- Assist providers to maximize patient volume, administer medications, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and return patient calls in a timely manner.
- Ensure effective patient communication and efficient patient flow. Document patient care accurately and timely. Perform EMR tasks correctly and timely. Process patient referrals timely and follow up to ensure the specialist report or test result is received.
- Follow all regulatory and patient safety clinical standards.
- Work and communicate effectively with all providers. Promote teamwork. Provide great customer service in person and on the telephone.
- Perform administrative duties such as greeting patients; registration; scheduling; pre-certification of tests, procedures, and medications; processing insurance forms; preparing financial records; answering phones; and entering ambulatory care charges.
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current license to practice in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a physician's office setting, preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
- Basic office skills, patient-centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
