About the Job

This Supply Chain Management Coordinator role at Genuine Parts Company is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for managing inventory and supply chains. Located in the Pasco County Fleet Garage, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet's inventory management system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assuming responsibility for inventory protection, asset management, and operational issues, as well as ensuring proper processes and procedures are utilized to minimize inventory shrinkage. They will also provide outstanding customer service, fulfill all workorder requests from customers, and review daily reporting to ensure fill rate requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory protection, asset management, and operational issues.
  • Minimize inventory shrinkage through effective process implementation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support.
  • Coordinate workorder requests and vendor interactions.
  • Analyze daily reporting to optimize fill rates.
  • Maintain accurate records and data.
  • Collaborate with the local management team to ensure reconciliation items are handled per policy and procedure guide.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Possess parts knowledge in automotive, heavy-duty, transit, fire, EMS, refuse, police, agricultural, GSE, marine, or industrial industries.
  • Hold ASE Certification(s) P1 and/or P2 (preferred).
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Be able to source hard-to-find items using online resources, catalogs, and blueprints.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a Federal background check.
Work Environment
  • Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (except during emergency situations). $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
  • Work comfortably in a Fleet shop environment.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Able to stand/walk for entire assigned work shift.
  • Capable of lifting/moving parts/boxes up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to bend/stoop to floor-level shelves and reach upper shelves (8 feet) when necessary.
  • Able to operate moving aids designed to move heavy/bulky items.
