The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Texas, USA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll be responsible for performing MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, adhering to department protocols and procedures.
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts, ensuring accurate results.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes, providing timely interventions as needed.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy, reviewing them with peers and physicians as required.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings, distributing completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Maintain patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspaces, recognizing equipment malfunctions and reporting them for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required, contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
  • Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technologist background with a minimum of 3 years MI SPECT clinical experience required.
  • Siemens or GE experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Siemens C.cam experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment are essential.
