Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Perform and evaluate laboratory tests, including cytogenetic and FISH testing, to diagnose and treat patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide education and training on laboratory procedures and results.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control systems and measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in cytogenetics and FISH testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory quality control and assurance procedures and principles of performance improvement.
  • Ability to use independent technical judgment to analyze and interpret laboratory results.
