Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Manage intricate property claims with a high degree of autonomy, receiving minimal oversight from management. Leverage contemporary claims technology to enhance efficiency. Conduct comprehensive investigations to establish a foundation for coverage determinations, assess damages, and evaluate liability. Engage in settlement negotiations with policyholders, claimants, and legal representatives. Additional responsibilities encompass proactive file management, ensuring accurate reserving practices, participating in training initiatives, presenting claims to the Committee, and overseeing litigated files. Act as a mentor to colleagues within the team or department. Maintain a consistent level of exceptional customer service while adhering to departmental audit standards.

  • Strong proficiency in computer systems and current technological tools
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience managing large-scale and complex property claims
  • Experience in estimating within the restoration sector
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related discipline
  • Associate in Claims designation

  • CPCU coursework or other relevant continuing education
