Job SummaryThe Operations Manager will lead teams and plan and execute operations at their assigned location or business unit, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This role will be responsible for managing resources, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide technical support to management and employees, participate in site evaluations, and prepare inclusive quotes that include scopes of work, price estimates, and contingencies.
- Operational Excellence: Make recommendations for improvement in workflow and project management, ensure operations are properly staffed and personnel are properly trained, and develop and monitor applicable metrics to measure operational objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and provide support for activities to renew, amend, modify, or expand existing licenses or permits.
- Customer Satisfaction: Manage the operation to meet customer expectations for quality and service, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental services, with knowledge of hazardous waste management and 3 years of supervisor experience.
- Skills and Competencies: Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgment.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
