About the Opportunity
This is a unique chance to work as a Substitute Educational and SPED Assistant in a dynamic school environment. As an ESS substitute Educational and SPED Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with special needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver individualized support to students, enhancing their learning experience.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Support administrative tasks, such as setting up equipment and preparing materials, to ensure a smooth operation.
- Supervise students during various activities, including cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, field trips, and before/after school programs.
- Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs, providing a nurturing environment.
- Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
- Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- State/FBI Criminal History Clearance
- Drug Screen - Varies by District
