Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Woodward Niles Facility. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines, inspecting parts, and adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines with minimal supervision, performing process checks and inspections as required.
  • Document nonconforming material and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Utilize computer programs to enter part data, log time, and download programs.
  • Inspect machined parts using various gauging equipment to ensure conformance to engineering specifications.
  • Clean and maintain measuring instruments and test equipment.
  • Operate precision inspection equipment and perform first-piece checks.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints for production task completion.
  • Perform routed operations of precision close-tolerance parts.
  • Complete paperwork and adhere to record retention requirements.
  • Apply basic Six Sigma tools and methodology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience or applicable degree from a trade school.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in GD&T, G-Code, M-Code, and machine setups for production runs.
  • Manual machining skills and blueprint reading.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
  • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis)
Compensation

$21 - $30 / hr
