Job Summary

Spectrum Plastics Master is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all process and production equipment, as well as general building maintenance.
  • Repair and maintain plant process, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Design, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.
  • Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Work directly with engineers, machinists, assemblers, and machine operators.
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiar with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics.
  • Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions provided by manufacturers.
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Read and interpret instructional electrical, hydraulic, and process systems drawings.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Prior background in manufacturing maintenance and plastics manufacturing is a strong plus.
  • Good troubleshooting skills coupled with a strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and control systems is a plus.
  • Self-starter with willingness to perform other related duties as required.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certificate in relevant expertise areas such as electrical, mechanical, and/or other areas is a plus.

Work Experience

  • 3-6 years of industrial maintenance or a similar environment performing comparable tasks as required for this position.
