Position Overview
The Senior Compliance Auditor will engage in audit processes and support the Audit Manager in all facets of audit operations, including strategizing, executing, and designing audit testing steps within their areas of expertise.

Act as the Audit Manager for smaller, moderately complex audits with a limited team, progressing to more complex audits as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify risk areas and assess the effectiveness of related controls.
  • Maintain professional communication with team members and management regarding audit findings.
  • Foster productive relationships with colleagues and clients, enhancing the value of Internal Audit.
  • Efficiently organize and plan tasks for self, including daily responsibilities and special projects.
  • Propose enhancements to audit methodologies.
  • Draft audit findings with guidance from a supervisor.
  • Deliver high-quality audit work within budget constraints and deadlines.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continuous education.
  • Contribute to Internal Audit special projects and committees.
  • Engage in the annual risk assessment procedure.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Internal Audit testing and processes through data analytics.
  • Accurately complete workpaper documentation in line with IIA and CFA Institute audit standards.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
Experience in internal or external auditing, ideally within Banking and Compliance sectors.
Strong capability to identify risks.
Fundamental understanding of relevant industries.
Utilizes audit and industry knowledge effectively in assignments.
Suggests areas for the application of data analytics.
Exhibits reliability and dependability.
Demonstrates proficient business writing skills, including audit issues and memos.
Complies with IIA and CFA Institute workpaper standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - includes the capacity to engage with peers and clients effortlessly and to collaborate effectively as part of a team.


Experience Required:

A Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field such as Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in Banking and Compliance.

Proficient PC skills (Excel and Word).
Certification such as CIA, CAMS, or CRCM is preferred.
